Bifurcations of nonlinear waves – theory, numerics and applications

Organizers of this minisymposium are

In this minisymposium we aim to gather recent progress on the bifurcation of nonlinear waves in various systems, from neuroscience, optimal control, multi-physics and ecology.
On the theoretical side we think of analytical results beyond simple Turing bifurcations in reaction–diffusion systems, for instance Turing-Hopf interactions, modulated traveling waves, non-local couplings, bifurcation in optimal control. Regarding applications we mainly aim at “non-standard” systems in neuroscience, ecology and economics, optics and fluids. Besides theory and applications we plan a few talks on new numerical methods and toolboxes for bifurcation analysis.
