Microlocal analysis has been proven to be a powerful theory to analyze various wave phenomena. Though being rather abstract in nature, microlocal analysis has a strong impact on concrete challenges in wave propagation, even to the point of computational methods. Its versatility and wealth of techniques will be discussed in the minisymposium for a range of wave phenomena.
